Available Positions

This position requires extensive thought-processing in order to coordinate tasks.  Duties will vary depending on the project that the crew is assigned. Forepersons are the organizer and coordinator of all on-site activities.

  • Develops an effective plan in cooperation with the Superintendent for constructing the project and determines the means and methods necessary for completion
  • Communicates the planned means and methods to appropriate employees to complete necessary tasks
  • Coordinates a work plan and employment for each phase of project and arranges for the employment needs for specific tasks
  • Encourages and promotes crews to work efficiently and safely
  • Works to maximize production, ensure quality, and minimize costs
  • Is capable or interpreting blueprints and details to complete jobs
    • utilizes stake out/ layout in order to complete required tasks
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required
  • Higher education in engineering and/or business desirable
  • OSHA 30 hour certification required
    • or the ability to complete the course within early employment
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • 3 years of supervisory background required
    • 5 years of supervisory background preferred
